After many years battling with my weight an trying every diet/shake/pill/injection to help me loose weight I decided to have bariatric surgery.
The aftercare I have received has been brilliant
Had my bypass on 28th July under Prof Senapati and the care and attention I received was second to none. The room was lovely, very comfortable and spacious.

My name is Rachel Binns and I had a gastric sleeve operation performed by Prof. Siba Senapati on January 8th 2021. As you can see from my photos I was extremely overweight and this has been something that I have struggled with all of my adult life. I have felt completely supported during every second of my amazing journey.
Like so many people I have been held back by obesity for most of my life… I struggled through the difficulty of losing a small amount of weight, then to only regain it quickly plus more, again and again. I became depressed and my health began to suffer, my joints especially, as I got older. I had considered surgery for many years but with the extremely long waiting list, the costs for private care and the fact I had never been in hospital before and was scared for surgery, I never did anything about it until 2 years ago. I got a little inheritance and just decided enough was enough, it was now or never.
I feel healthier, more confident and more like myself.
Since having a sleeve gastrectomy on 30th December 2019 my quality of life has increased tremendously.
