My name is Rachel Binns and I had a gastric sleeve operation performed by Prof. Siba Senapati on January 8th 2021. As you can see from my photos I was extremely overweight and this has been something that I have struggled with all of my adult life. For me, the surgery was the best way forward and I have never been happier. The care and attention I have received from Prof Senapati and his team has been outstanding. The nursing staff at BMI Hospital Rochdale were professional, kind, thoughtful and very caring. Before surgery I had extremely high blood pressure and was taking anti-depressants to cope with stress and anxiety. It has been 33 weeks since my surgery I have lost 5 stone 5 pounds and no longer take any medication. My blood pressure is normal and my stress and anxiety levels have also reduced significantly. Photo number 2 was taken the morning after my surgery I am delighted with the small and extremely neat scars from the keyhole surgery. I am lot happier within myself and I can look forward to the future with a positive attitude. By following Prof Senapatis advice and the supporting Dietitian I am leading a normal life and I now have the energy to do far more than I did before my surgery. I no longer LIVE TO EAT but I do EAT to LIVE.
