Life changing just doesn't seem to do it justice somehow, but that's what it is.

Like so many people I have been held back by obesity for most of my life… I struggled through the difficulty of losing a small amount of weight, then to only regain it quickly plus more, again and again. I became depressed and my health began to suffer, my joints especially, as I got older. I had considered surgery for many years but with the extremely long waiting list, the costs for private care and the fact I had never been in hospital before and was scared for surgery, I never did anything about it until 2 years ago. I got a little inheritance and just decided enough was enough, it was now or never.

I met Professor Siba Senapati and his amazing team at the Alexander, they made me feel at ease immediately, I have felt completely supported during every second of my amazing journey. I had gastric sleeve surgery and never looked back.

Almost overnight my knee and hip pain disappeared, the impact overall on my health has been astounding, I feel years younger and I went from 135kg to 85kg! I am full of energy, a gym bunny now and just enjoying every aspect of my new life. My confidence has grown immensely, in fact I found myself on a blind date and fell in love with the most amazing partner and we are now engaged and I am looking forward to walking down the aisle with all eyes on me.

Professor Senapati and the team were very understanding, I never felt judged. They supported me every step of the way and have always been encouraging and positive. I just cannot thank them enough.
