I had my operation gastric sleeve in June of 2022. I was 16st 8lbs size 22 uk clothing. I am now 11st 7lbs and I'm a UK 12/14 depending on the make of clothing. I had no complications at all and wasn't in any real pain just a bit of stuck wind pain but I found it OK to manage. The reason I chose the gastric sleeve was not just because I was overweight I also had fybromaralga which is a chronic pain condition and when I had this operation I was taking medication 4 times a day now I'm only taking it twice a day. I'm so much active and feel more confident and I'm very grateful to Prof. Senapati for his help in achieving my new happier healthier life.

Excellent experience of my care provided by Prof Senapati and the hospital theatre, ward and Bariatric surgery team. The free initial consultation outlined my options, dealt with my concerns and helped me make the right choice of intervention.

I sought advice as my weight increased to 107kg. More alarmingly the blood test for sugar control was showing the remorseless advance towards diabetes.

The operation was smooth and I was out after a very short stay. Follow up by nurses and dieticians was efficient and by ‘phone. Now, ten months later I am down to 89 kg, BMI 27 kg/m2. There is still a little way to go.

I now can fit again in my clothes comfortably again. I have much more energy and concentration. I can eat what I like, but portions are much reduced. I feel good about myself. My health is much better and my blood tests are now back to normal.

Paying for the operation was done using an interest free facility offered by Circle over 10 months.

This is the best thing I have done to return me to full health, improve my mental health, feeling of wellbeing and now looking good!

Life changing...

I had a sleeve gastrectomy on 24th Oct 2023 under Prof Senapati. From start to finish I was not only looked after but reasurred and fully involved in my plan.

Prof Senapati put me at ease, explained everything about the procedure, what I could expect after the procedure and the after care I would receive.

Since my operation I have lost 3 stone and still only 3 month out. I have a back problem Spondyilolthesis, had aching knees and pain in my hips. The Sleeve gastrectomy has helped me loose weight which has resulted in reduced back issues and no aches or pains in my knees and hips.

My quality of life has improved immensely and for the first time in years I am enjoying life, doing more things and feel myself again.

I still have some way to go but with the support of Prof Senapati and his team, I'm positive I will get there and further improve not only my physical health but mental and social health.

I had the gastric sleeve on the 17th October 2023 and have currently lost 56lbs/25.4kg. I am finding it much easier to move about, I don't get out of breath as easily and have found it's been great for my mental health also after struggling with my weight my whole life to see it come off is amazing.

I had a gastric sleeve on 29th April 2023 with Professor Senapati at the Alexandra Hospital.From first meeting the Professor he put me at ease and explained the procedure.Being a yo -yo dieter for over 20 years the gastric sleeve was the best decision I have ever made.Since the operation I have lost 45lbs and my energy levels and confidence have increased.From the day of the operation the Professors team were great.I left hospital after 2 days confident that this was the beginning of the rest of my life.

Prof Senapati completed my gastric sleeve in October 2022. From the initial appointment through the operation to the after care everything has been excellent.

Prof Senapati is a very skilled and caring surgeon - my case was not straightforward - complicated by a previous gastric band surgery and large abdominal hernia but the outcome has been great.

So far I have lost 6 stone - from a starting weight of 27.5 stone. I am getting my life back - walking the dog regularly and finding everyday tasks easier.

There are ups and downs especially when old eating habits try to come back - but Prof Senapati, the bariatric nurses and dietitians have been really helpful on getting me back on track.

I would whole heartily recommend Prof Senapati and his team for bariatric surgery for their technical skills, care and support.

So , where do I start? I had a gastric sleeve on 21st November 2022. This was following arthritis on my knees and pre high blood pressure which was associated with being over weight at 22.5 stones(14 I have always struggled with my weight since a teenager .Before the procedure, I was sceptical, and anxious and as a result I had three consultations with Professor Senapati and his lovely He was very patient and reassured me. Before the day, I went through test to ensure all was well. On the day of the procedure, I was reassured again and after I came out of the surgery, I was very vulnerable due to post op. Professor Senapati was there to check on me and gave me so much reassurance. I was in the hospital for three days due to weakness and did not feel pressured at any time. His medical team and care was outstanding. Since my discharge from hospital, I have had follow up from the dietitian, bariatric nurses and physio who have been so caring and professional. As at today 24June 7 months post op, I have gone from over 142kg to 99.9kg. This is so unbelievable! My issues with arthritis has fully disssappeared , my blood pressure is great and normal, I am more healthy and no more chest infections unlike before. I have not had to a simple paracetamol since January. I have gained so much confidence and I look amazing without being told. I have gone from size 22 to a size 16 comfortably. This is only the beginning and still have a long journey ahead. I cannot but thank Prof Senapati and his lovely team for the care so far. My next follow up appointment is in December and I am sure I will have more good news re my weight loss when I will share before and after photos.

My only regret is I should have done it earlier.

I had a sleeve procedure 8 months ago and from the first consultation to my most recent follow up the help, support, guidance and care has been exceptional. I spent a long time researching but still had so many questions I wanted answers to a Prof. Senapati spent the time to talk through and explain everything and I never felt rushed and he and all the team at the Alex hospital made sure they I had everything I needed. In my appointment one of the things I asked about was pain, as I'd read a lot of social media and this along with recovery time was a concern to me, and his reply was there will be no pain discomfort yes but if you have pain I've done something wrong and that was spot on.

He has his own schedule and approach to care and I'm glad I chose him as my surgeon and paid a fraction more. I had extra time in the hospital to help my recovery and he allows a little longer until your cleared to do certain things like driving and moving through the phases from liquid to smooth to solids but all that meant I never had any pain and my recovery was rapid. My weight loss was also rapid, I followed the guidance on what I could eat and drink to the letter and I had no issues with hunger and the weight dropped off. The dietician, physio and nurses have been excellent too supporting me before and since my op and I feel like all that combined is what's lead to my success. I've lost 4 stone, 4 dress sizes and found myself pregnant having struggled for many years. I had various markets like high cholesterol and pre diabetes and all of these are now in normal range so along with the weight I've made significant improvements to my overall health and wellbeing. I struggled with hip and knee pain too and that's gone! I'm looking forward to continuing my loss journey once the baby arrives and getting more in to physical activity.

Prof. Senapati has turned my life around. Had gastric sleeve 1st April 23 and he's very professional and caring. His incisions are very neat had no dressings just very neat and tidy glue. What a guy! From the moment I met "The Prof" (As me and my friends call him) for my initial consultation, I felt immediately at ease. He listened, he advised of the procedure options for me personally and took on board my concerns. I had literally intended on just going for a chat but decided there and then, he was the right surgeon for me so booked the surgery date whilst there for the Sleeve. Day of the op at BMI Alex, everything went swimmingly. Very happy with the care during my 2 night stay. Attentive nursing staff, Helen/Debbie and the whole team were amazing. Follow up phone calls have been done on time and was great to see "The Prof" for the 1st face to face follow up in December. I had a gastric sleeve on 5/7/22 after considerable thought whether it was right for me. Prof Senapati explained everything to me in January 2022, and the op was meant to happen 2weeks later, but safety first I needed further investigations before surgery could happen. Pre op, dietician review, nerves, but all well, the op happened on 5/7/22.

The care was great all involved, from the nurse to the amazing specialist nurses who came to see me regularly.

One big disappointment was the dietician input, I didn't hear from a dietician until 6 weeks post surgery, thankfully the specialist nurses kept me informed with dos and don'ts and how best to handle the first few weeks.

So home after a couple of nights in hospital, and I have never looked back. It's definitely not an easy option for weight loss, a whole new way of life needs to be learnt but...

Six months on, 65lbs down, 3 dress sizes smaller, feeling amazing. My BMI has very much improved, my health has improved no longer breathless on the daily dog walks, I feel the team is available if I need them, including the dietician, who have now had good input. So thank you one and all !!!

I cannot praise Professor Senapati and his team enough. I gained weight after having my 2nd child and spent my 30s yo-yo dieting, losing and regaining the same 2 stone in weight. This impacted on my mood, my energy levels, my self esteem. I had started to dread things I used to enjoy, such as shopping for clothes and socialising with friends. I had seen a lot of positive stories on social media about people successfully losing weight via weight loss surgery and decided to look into it.

I spent a lot of time researching who would be the best surgeon for me. Including reading the Surgeon Specific Outcome Reports on The National Bariatric Registry. Without question I made the right decision. I felt very safe with Professor Senapati and his team. I had a sleeve gastrectomy 5 weeks ago. My surgery went very smoothly. Professor Senapati is a fantastic surgeon and a lovely gentleman. All the nurses on The Chester Ward were fantastic. Helen and Debbie the Specialist nurses have been amazing. The dieticians, pharmacists and physios have been great too.

I am delighted with the weight loss so far. In 5 weeks I have lost 11kg. I've gone from a size 16 to a size 12-14. My BMI has decreased from 34 to 29. However, the impact on my mood has also been incredible. Prior to the surgery I was often very anxious, feeling on edge. Since having the surgery I feel a lot calmer. I'm regaining confidence and I'm enjoying getting dressed up and socialising again. My energy levels are staring to increase and I've been given the go ahead to return to exercise by Prof at my follow-up earlier this week. I'm looking forward to reaching my weight-loss goals and feel reassured that I have the support of Prof Senapati and his team for the next 2 years as part of the aftercare.

In 6 weeks I have lost 2 stone already and well on my way to achieving greater losses. Prof was extremely kind, understanding and explained anything I wasn't sure of. When it came to the operation itself, I had minimal pain following the procedure, my scars have healed well, and I've already had a check up with prof and the rest of the team at the Alexandra hospital where I had the surgery. I have managed to go from using 120 units of insulin before surgery, to being in the pre diabetic range now. By March my nurse hopes to be able to remove the remaining medication and declare me no longer diabetic if my numbers continue to stay as they are doing. I had my gastric sleeve surgery on the 1st September 2021 with Prof Senapati at the BMI Alexandra Cheadle

I am now just over a year post op and I have to say it's the best decision I've ever made!

My whole quality of life is better, I'm much more active and confident, nothing fazes me anymore.

The care of Prof and his team were amazing, I wasn't the easiest patient to deal with as I struggled with the gas pain and nausea after surgery but within 24 hours I felt fine and went home the day after. The aftercare has been fab! Regular phone calls to check on me and how I'm doing, if I needed them they were always at the end of the phone which was very reassuring.

I had an appointment with Prof and the lovely ladies on his team this week as I'm now a year post op, and they were delighted with my results as I am!

I was also given advise on how to maintain my weight which was really helpful.

My start weight was 17 stone 13 lbs and dress size 22

I am now maintaining my weight and have been for the last 3 months at 10 stone 2 lbs and a dress size 8/10/12
Which is nearly 8 stone loss!!

My advise to anybody that goes for the surgery is listen to your team and your body! It's a lifestyle change not a diet. Being released from the diet culture after being a Yo-yo dieter for many years has made such an impact on my life and my mind, food no longer rules my life.

I decided to go with Professor Senapati as lots of previous patients recommended him in a Facebook bariatric advice group I am in.

Professor Senapati and his team are very professional and very knowledgeable. Nothing is too much for them, and the care when in hospital is second to none. Follow up after care is great too, the team check in on you and discuss your progress and any issues you may have.

I am now 14 months post op and including the liver reduction diet done 2 weeks prior to my operation, I have lost an incredible 37kg (almost 6st) - no way would I have ever been able to lose that amount, especially in such a short timescale. My energy levels have increased and I no longer get out of breath walking upstairs. I am looking forward to continuing this journey with the advice and support of Professor Senapati and his team.

I feel like I've got my life back, my confidence as never been higher.

I was recommended by a friend that Prof Senapati & his team are experts in the field of bariatrics and weight loss surgery. I arranged a free consultancy with Prof Senapati who recommended a gastric sleeve. I took his advice and decided to take the procedure.

It as been a really good experience from start to finish, every appointment leading up to the surgery was very professional and the day of the surgery went really good. Prof Senapati answered any remaining questions I had, the surgery went great and it was completely painless. I was made to feel really relaxed and all the staff made me feel like I was a VIP. I am 12 months post surgery and wow what a difference my life is. All my life I have battled with weight. In later years as I hit the menopause i ballooned to my heaviest of almost 24 stone. My health was suffering and my quality of life was poor. In lockdown I had Covid and was so unwell I worried I wouldn't be able to be carried out of my home. It was my time to change and so I did. I met with the Prof having lost 2 stone myself and he agreed to do my surgery. The care I have received both pre and post surgery is second to none. The nutrition, and dietitian's are fantastic however the hero is the prof I am now 8stone lighter and 100% healthier. I no longer feel I take up people space. I don't worry when I go out if we need to walk somewhere whether I can do it or will I fit behind the table. I now enjoy walking with my grandchildren and going on rides. The best bit are my non scale victories of fitting in a bumper car or knowing I can walk for as long as I want. My life is mine and if you have the chance to do the surgery do it follow the guidance and you will succeed I am so proud of the journey I took and more importantly the life I lead.

From the first consultation I had regarding my weight loss surgery I new it was the right decision for me. I felt very confident as everything was explained to me as to what was going to happen from the start of my weight loss journey which made it so much better. The day I went for my pre operation at the amazing Alexandra Hospital all the staff from the receptionist to the nurses where amazing and looked after me so well. The day of my surgery was the same the receptionist where very pleasant the porter who carried my bags to my room very polite. I was shown to my own private room with en-suite bathroom and the nurses introduced themselves and I was given the best care possible before & after my surgery. I have lost 5 stone and dropped 4-5 dress sizes.

My health and joints are much better which is the reason for my surgery. My liver bloods are now normal which was the reason for my surgery.

I feel younger and happier in myself than I have done in a long time.

I had been considering WLS for a while, but always held back as it was something so completely out of my comfort zone, but following my initial consultation with Prof. Senapati, I was completely reassured and knew that I was making the right decision.

I did the 2 week liver shrinking diet before the operation, and had the WLS (Gastric Sleeve) on 3rd November 2021. Prof. Senapati and his team were amazing, very attentive during my hospital stay and provided a lot of support when I was back home. Post surgery, a number of adjustments had to be made, but a lot of these had been preempted and were manageable.

Since my initial consultation with the professor in October, I have lost 4.6 stone, (29.7 kg). As well as visible weight loss, there have been huge changes to my physical and mental wellbeing. I have increased motivation, more energy, and in turn my confidence is growing.

I had a gastric sleeve procedure on New Years Eve 2019, just over two years post op I have lost 8 stone most of which was lost in the first 12 months and which I have been maintaining over the last year.

Having this operation has been life changing for me, I have a whole new lease of life and feel like I have found myself again. My confidence has increased ten fold and everything in life is easier without carrying around the extra 8 stone. I now love to shop and have gone down from a size 18/20 to a 12.

Before surgery I had tried every diet possible and always ended up losing a stone and then putting it (and more) on again, I knew I needed to make a change and did a lot of research into possible options. Prof. Senapati came highly recommended and after meeting in person and meeting his amazing team I knew I had made the right decision. From day one I was made to feel at ease and was given so much help and information on the procedure and after care. During the last two years I have had regular check ins on progress with the whole team and I know that if I needed anything in the future I could always get in touch.

I really couldn’t be happier with having the gastric sleeve and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Prof. Senapati,  my only wish is I had done it sooner.

I am extremely happy to have found Professor Senapati and his services. I am 7 weeks post op and extremely happy with the results. Many of his team stood out throughout the process from the lady whom returned my initial enquiry , she was extremely warm, polite and reassuring if it wasn't for her I'm not sure I would have gone ahead with the process, she came across as real and genuine , apologies I have forgotten her name. To the nurses on the day at the hospital, two particularly stood out as excellent were Florence and Erin whom both went above and beyond to care for me without even being asked. Of course the man himself Prof Senapati , I cannot fault, after all he is the most important! I do feel the hospital side of things like accounting / bill payments , taking bloods /checking weight and dieticians all of that needs tightening up as I've had very little interaction a couple of mistakes more than a couple of very short emails when I've had reasonable questions and was never asked to pay! I had to make many calls and go down to the hospital myself to actually get it paid before the surgery day. I felt very much like they were going through the motions rather than looking at things from my point of view and now do feel I'm somewhat on my own but it's not my first time so I'm happy to do so to a point but I can't help thinking that for someone brand new to these procedures they may feel unprepared or extra concerns if it's the same for everyone, that's just my opinion / experience of course. The surgery side absolutely can't fault but the pre and after care info / procedure a little lacking. I'd researched going abroad for a procedure but with all the extra hassle and concerns that currently brings I fully recommend the services of Professor Senapati himself a very skilled man whom can perform many surgeries and is happy to discuss them all with you before going ahead, at no point did I feel pressured to go ahead in fact I cancelled last minute before rebooking due to my own over thinking and irrational fears and this was not my first time having a procedure In the U.K. I found Prof Senapati whilst looking for a surgeon for a revision surgery I actually think I found a loophole as many other hospitals over charge when providing a complete package whereas with choosing Prof Senapati , I chose the surgeon then was directed to a private hospital he works out of , this enabled me to have my procedure in my home town within the U.K. at a reasonable price and I was away from my children for only a very short time which was a huge bonus when compared to others but I still had the fear and then some , however when the day came around or rather when I did , I did not regret a thing , so stop the over thinking as if you have come this far then you are more than half way there already so get booked in and you will soon be on the way to a whole new you! I fully recommend Professor Senapati as 1st choice and wouldn't hesitate to choose him again , hopefully that won't be necessary but I would be confident to do so.

At the time of my surgery I weighed 14.7 stone.

Just under 3 months later I have lost 3 stone and now weigh 11.7 stone.

Prof Senapati and his team have changed my life. I am more active, have more energy, I am enjoying a new found confidence and overall better quality of life.

I had always struggled with my weight and the surgery was the last remaining option, in my eyes - the only option I knew would work.

The care I received throughout my procedure from Prof Senapati and his team was fantastic.

From the nurses who helped with my aftercare to the dietician team who were available 24/7 for my numerous phone calls - it has been life changing.

Prof senapati was brilliant, I couldnt fault anything as the whole experience has been so good. He put me at ease as soon as I had the first consultation, 3 weeks later I was ready to go to surgery and he came to see me to make sure all was OK. The sleeve surgery was a success and it has changed my life, he treats you like a human being and listens to your concerns.

I had a gastric sleeve on the 25th of September 2021. I had seen Prof Senapati a few weeks prior to surgery and he explained everything thoroughly to me and was very courteous and kind. I made the decision to go ahead with the surgery mainly for health reasons. I had high blood pressure and had developed type 2 diabetes. I had failed with diets many times and decided something a bit more drastic was needed.

The operation went well and, although I was quite nauseous afterwards, it didn't last long. I had a two night stay at the Alexandra Hospital and the care I received from all involved was excellent. I am now three months post op and I am delighted with the results. I have lost 21kg, I have more energy and best of all my blood sugar has significantly reduced and my blood pressure is within normal limits. It is hoped that my diabetes will be in remission in the not too distant future.

I have no regrets about having the surgery. Well, just one, I should have done it sooner.

After years of yo yo dieting, feeling miserable and struggling with mobility, pain, sleep & being sluggish, I decided it was time to look at a more permanent weight loss tool.

I did lots of research on surgeons and in the end decided that Prof Senapati was the surgeon for me.

A lovely gentleman who made me feel very relax. He explained everything in detail and together we agreed to proceed with the gastric sleeve.

All the nurses, dietitians, anesthetist and Prof Senapati have been great during my hospital stay.

I am 6 weeks post op, lost 29lb and no longer have pain and sluggishness. My mobility has improved considerably and I now get a good night sleep.

I have spent 20 years struggling to get my weight down, have tried the gym, lots of different "diets" but never managed to keep any loss off (along with this, I was suffering with a lot of heartburn and ocassional acid reflux). I got to the point where I didn't want to leave the house unless absolutely essential....I turned down so many social invites with friends and family - I just didn't want people to see me! I decided surgery was the best route for me. After much research, I knew Prof Senapati was the right surgeon for the job.

He performed my Sleeve Gastrectomy 10 weeks ago but also found a large hiatus hernia and repaired it (bonus) so I have not suffered any heartburn or reflux since and I have already shed 3st 4lb. I don't feel I'm missing out on anything regarding food or drink, and my confidence has grown so much already....I'm out walking every day and now doing some weight training alongside that. I'm eager to get out socialising again and I feel so much happier, have no regrets whatsoever and only wish I had done this years ago! The care I have received from Prof Senapati and his team has been outstanding from day one and I will continue to receive this for 2 years post op - if I have any issues or questions I know I can ring and speak to somebody on the end of the phone inbetween my regular follow up appointments. If you're toying with the idea of this procedure I can 100% recommend it along with the best surgeon in the business, Prof Senapati. This has improved my quality of life both physically and mentally.

I had my surgery with Prof Senapati on the 31st August following my consultation with him on the 13th August. From start to finish Prof was professional, understanding and had no trouble in explaining what was going to happen along each step of the process. This made me feel at ease and I fully placed my trust in Prof. On the day of the surgery everything was organised and relaxing. I was discharged the next day after asking could I go home a day early and Prof agreed.

I am now 13 weeks post op and have lost 60lb. I have had appointments with his nursing team and dieticians who are all so helpful and calming. I feel fantastic and everyone comments on my weight loss and how great I look. I have more energy than ever, I can do more things with my young son and husband and I can't wait to get to my goal weight.

I am so thankful for the new life that Prof and his team have given me. I would highly recommend Prof to anyone considering bariatric surgery… well I already have done and will continue to do so!

Dr. Senapati is incredible. Not only has he taken great care of my health, but also he is lovely to speak with at every appointment. It's rare to find a doctor that combines such personal touches and care for a patient as a person with outstanding quality of medical care. I highly recommend becoming his patient. I had a gastric sleeve done and honestly after recovery my first question from doctor was has he really done my surgery or not. Just because it was painless i couldn't feel a bit of pain though i was so scared seeing all YouTube surgeries regarding gastric sleeve. I must say Dr Senapati has magic in his hands. I had my Gastric Sleeve surgery at bmi alexandra (cheadle)on the 1st September 2021 with Prof Senapati. Everything went well and to plan.

I was very nervous about the surgery but the nurses, physio, anaesthetist, and Prof put me at ease and i felt in good hands.

After the op i was really suffering with nausea and the nurses did everything they could to make me feel comfortable - nothing was too much for them and i can imagine i wasn't the easiest of patients with being so independent!

I had a 2 night stay in hospital and was well looked after.

My recovery all went really well and I'm now back at work full time and living a normal life.

I did a 2 week LRD diet pre surgery and lost 10lbs, i am now 10 weeks post op and have lost an amazing 42lbs (3 stone)

I'm over the moon with my results and finally starting to feel good about myself. i cant thank Prof and his team enough!!

It was one of the biggest decisions of my life but it was defiantly the right one!

From the initial consultation Professor Senapati was friendly, informative, courteous and knowledgeable. He and his team made me feel completely at ease and I received immaculate care both on the day of surgery and am still in receipt of excellent care from the aftercare team. I have lost two stone in eight weeks so far, I feel lighter, healthier and happier, the knowledge that I will not regain this weight is priceless. Above all I am back in control of my own body and my relationship with food which was the outcome I was most hoping for. The incisions from the surgery are so neat I have no concerns about them becoming invisible over time, the surgery itself was relatively pain free and my recovery has been straightforward. I would have no hesitation in reaching out to the Professor or a member of his team should I have any queries or concerns and would wholeheartedly recommend him and his team to anyone researching bariatric surgery.

Opting for surgery is big decision, but it is the best thing I could have done for myself. Prof Senapati is an excellent surgeon with vast experience. He is approachable and reassuring and the care I have received from the Professor and his team has been, and is, excellent. Nothing is too much trouble, no question too silly or small and I have ongoing access to the team at any time. I am now 7 weeks post surgery; I recovered quickly and have lost 2.5 stone. Already I feel fitter, healthier and more confident. I cannot recommend Prof. Senapati and his team highly enough.

I had my gastric sleeve surgery September 2021 from start I felt very comfortable with the surgeon and all the staff members. I was explained everything and really felt at ease. Surgery went really well and the aftercare by the staff was above and beyond. I am now 6 weeks after my surgery iv healed really well and my weightless is showing my confidence is coming back and I have a lot more energy with my two young children  the only negative I can give is from me I wish I had done this years ago instead of waiting  iv got a long journey ahead but I know the positive at the end of it, I would 100% recommend this surgery and Dr senapati. After many years battling with my weight an trying every diet/shake/pill/injection to help me loose weight I decided to have bariatric surgery.

I spent months researching and a friend had surgery with bmi Alexandra so I looked into the hospital an requested a consultation I was offered one with professor siba senapati! On my phone consultation I knew I wanted him to be my surgeon he was very professional and listened to what I wanted we both agreed that the Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy would be best for me to have! Prof senapati sent me all the details an contacts that I needed for any questions I had that I couldn't think of at the time! Himself and his team are fantastic my surgery day came an at the hospital prof senapati came to see how I was an again explained the procedure! I had the surgery and was treated by highly professional staff with dignity and respect whist there I was discharged the next day my incisions where/are perfect really neat and healed amazingly! I had my 6week post op call with prof senapati an one of the bariatric nurses again both lovely professional caring people! I had my surgery on the 1st of September 2021 an I weighed myself on the 1st October 2021 an I had lost 2st 4lb! I am weighing on the 1st of every month but I can feel myself in clothing an energy that I am lighter and healthier! This lovely Professor did my surgery a week ago. He understood me and listened to me. I had been fed a load of nonsense from another surgeon and the Professor explained to me in gentle terms how what I had been told was wrong. After surgery he visited me both days and would have come more if I needed him. I want to mention the outstanding nursing care I received at BMI Alexandra too. A fabulous experience with a very experienced surgeon and nursing staff.

I had gastric sleeve surgery on 2nd June 2021.

I decided to go with Professor Senapati as lots of previous patients recommended him in a Facebook bariatric advice group I am in.

Professor Senapati and his team are very professional and very knowledgeable. Nothing is too much for them, and the care when in hospital is second to none. Follow up after care is great too, the team check in on you and discuss your progress and any issues you may have.

I am now 9 weeks post op and including the liver reduction diet done 2 weeks prior to my operation, I have lost an incredible 18.8kg - no way would I have ever been able to lose that amount, especially in such a short timescale. My energy levels have increased and I no longer get out of breath walking upstairs. I am looking forward to continuing this journey with the advice and support of Professor Senapati and his team.

My wife had gastric sleeve surgery on the 14/06/21 she had put a lot of weight on during lockdown and had become unfit and her back was hurting in the 7 weeks since surgery she has lost almost 3 stone and is now healthier and a lot happier the team at the Alex were amazing and the support since the operation has been 5 star. It has been a learning curve with which foods you can eat and cant eat at first but every week is an improvement and her back no longer hurts. She asked Prof Senapati to change her life and he certainly did this for the better. Thanks Team.

From start to finish I could not fault my journey. My initial consultation with Professor Senapati was over the phone due to COVID. We agreed there and then I would have the sleeve and within two weeks I was in for the operation. Before the op I had calls from. Prof. Senapati secretary, bariatric nurse and dieticians. I was sent all the information I needed and nothing was to much trouble. My operation went smoothly and I was home the next day. I was of pain medication within a couple of days. I have had follow up calls from both dietician and prof Senapati.

I cannot fault the hospital or the care I have received and am still receiving. I am six weeks out of my surgery and with the LRD which I did for 2 weeks before I have lost 3st 2lbs.

I had my initial consultation booked within a week via his secretary Debbie face to face, free of charge. Having struggled with yo-yo dieting all my life, I was desperate for a solution that saw me break the vicious cycle. Prof. Senapati discussed my options with me, and was able to book me in for a sleeve gastrectomy the following week.

I'd never had surgery before so I had no idea what to expect, but the nurses were absolutely great with me from the minute I set foot into the hospital. Within an hour, I'd been seen by both the anaesthetist and Prof.Senapati to explain the procedure and what to expect - there was no question left unanswered. Shortly after 9am, I was taken down to theatre - the last thing I remember before drifting off under the anaesthetic was being in laughter - definitely not the experience I was anticipating!

I woke up in zero pain whatsoever and was waited on hand and foot from the minute I was wheeled back into my room - which for the avoidance of doubt was immaculate. Prof Senapati visited after surgery and every day thereafter until discharge to check how I was doing. Not only is he professional but very personable and sincere also.

6 weeks in and I've lost 10kg and feeling great. I've had no complications whatsoever and was even back to work after 5 days' rest. I've had follow up appointments with the bariatric nurses and Prof. Senapati to check on my progress which has been great. Any questions or queries I've had have been answered straight away.

I genuinely thank Prof. Senapati and his team from the bottom of my heart, I finally feel liberated.

From the first consultation with Prof Senapati i was put at ease...he didnt tell me what i wanted but listened to my thoughts and in agreement we decided on a gastric sleeve. I have struggled with my weight since being a teenager and after getting to 50 decided enough....My surgery went without a hitch and I can eat and drink normally although small portions...something i could never do before. My dietician Chris is always available via phone or e mail. I am 7 months post op and have lost 63lb. Currently a size 12 from a size 18/20. My joints ache less and my husband says I have a new lease of life.

I had my surgery on the 12th of September 2020.

It was scary but life changing. Dr Senapati and the team were great. Right from the ward nurses to the anaesthetic nurse it was all reassurance and respect.

So far I have lost 18kgs and feel awesome. I am loving my meal sizes and health wise I feel more energetic and putting more things into my day than before. Even the aftercare with the physio and dietician is great.Thank you Dr. Senapati and team.

I had my surgery with them at BMI Cheadle May 2018. My results had been brilliant, and I've had frequent contact from himself and his team. I felt totally at ease in the care of Prof Senapati and had absolutely no issues with my surgery or aftercare. The hospital is very clean, and tidy, with Wi-fi and basic free view in the rooms. Fairly easy to find and good parking.

My story is no different then others, I think. I was struggling for years with diet and gym trying to lose weight. Mostly because I was trying to do IVF and I had to lose weight so it can be successful. I met Prof Senapati beginning of this year and he answered all my questions.

I have to say that I was afraid to do this surgery that he reassured me that everything will be ok and there will be people looking after me for 2 years. I've done the gastric sleeve in March and in 3 months I lost 22kg. Up till now and I am expecting to lose more. In hospital they took care of me in a very professional way especially the nurse Andreea Aliman. She was always there helping me through after the surgery. Not all the nurses were the same, I have to admit.

My special thanks go to Prof Senapati, Debbie his secretary and Andreea. They were professional and carrying!

This was the best decision I've made and I recommend you doctor Senapati. He now reassured me that next year I can start the process for IVF and I can't wait for it! Thank you again for taking care of me!

I was so depressed at the beginning of my journey. The scales had crept to 15 stone. I knew something had to be done to help me. I struggled with losing weight for so many years due to health reasons and not being able to exercise. This was 4 months ago and it is honestly the best decision I have ever made. I am 3 stone lighter and am already feeling fantastic and much healthier. This has given me a whole new life and I now look forward to my future. I still have 3 stone to lose but I know I will get there soon and best of all keep the weight off. The surgery was brilliant. I can't lie, I was in extreme pain for about 2 weeks but after that it was amazing. Mr. Senapati was brilliant, very quick and efficient. Here's to a happier healthier slimmer future!

I feel so much happier with my appearance

I feel I have been dieting for 30 years to no avail. I have simply gained more and more weight regardless. Despite initial reservations I was reassured and felt confidence in Mr. Senapati and his team. I underwent the gastric sleeve procedure under Mr. Senapati around six weeks ago. It went without any issues and the pain subsided in a few days. The post-operative regime was much easier than I anticipated and find that my life has changed in a number of positive ways not least of which is that I am 20Kg the lighter and my BMI racing towards normal. I feel so much happier with my appearance, I can now start to enjoy exercise and face the prospect of buying clothes sizes I could only dream of a few short weeks ago.

This procedure may not be for everyone and needs careful consideration before embarking on this journey however it seems to be working for me so far.

The Hospital was excellent, the staff very friendly and efficient.

I was a little skeptical about the life changing procedure, but I am glad I made the decision to go ahead with Dr Senapati. After care was excellent and the nurses are excellent.

I have always been big despite undertaking classes in boxing and Muay Tai, however I struggled significantly with my weight whilst undertaking my Pharmacy degree and then working professional career. Being a healthcare professional I was and am aware of the long term consequence of obesity and the impact on ones quality of life in their later years.

It was when I attended a public health lecture about the cost of healthy living; I decided that I was unable to win my battle with obesity that was ongoing for the last 10+ years alone. I made the decision to to opt for a gastric sleave after doing my own thorough research. I have never looked back, although the first month was challenging. I want to thank Mr S and his team for the support they provided me and giving me the opportunity to enjoy a better healthier and more fulfilling quality of living.

Well organise and very educational. I naturally suffered cold feet during the week running up to the surgery and received multiple opportunities to address my concerns and rationale the process. Mr S was very forthcoming and his approach was warm and welcoming. Debbie the Nurse was also very helpful and again help managed my expectation and concerns.
