I had my sleeve operation July 14th 2021. I was 54 and this was a huge thing for me to do. I’d researched the operation for quite a while, and the sleeve was the best option for me.

Before op I was 15.6, I’m 5ft 2 and I was still active, love walking, my weight didn’t stop me doing anything.

Since having the operation I’ve lost 5 stone and I’ve gone from size 18-20 to size 10-12 and weigh 10 stone. No more pain in my knees and no back ache.

The hospital was really welcoming, nurses were so friendly and really helped me with my nerves, Prof senapati explained everything to me and I was looking forward to starting my new journey. The op.went well and I felt I was in no rush to leave the hospital, and I stayed 2 nights, but could of stayed longer if I wanted.

The aftercare has been fantastic. The bariatric nurses are your saviour,nothing is to much trouble for them. I’ve messaged then a few times and each time they put my mind at rest. Also the dietician has helped me so much. The after care was definitely the best.
