The actual incision was very neat and has healed quickly

I suffered from an epigastric hernia which I had repaired previously ten years ago elsewhere, but I believe it reoccurred due to a recent pregnancy. The hernia had become contracted on occasion, causing some pain and I decided to have it repaired to remove the risk of trapped intestines / loss of blood flow to the area in the future.

I found Prof Senapati via Bupa and I chose him because of past reputation, and the chance to have the operation in the same day on a Saturday (at fairly short notice). I appreciated being able to have a direct discussion with him prior to the surgery. He clearly answered my questions and reassured me about the procedure.

The surgery itself went very smoothly and I was able to go home within a few hours of leaving the operating theatre. Prof Senapati came to visit me immediately after I was awake following the procedure and gave me the ok to go home. He was diligent in following up with an appointment a few weeks later to check the healing of the wound. I felt he genuinely cared about my recovery and personal situation.
